Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform all work in a safety-conscious, detail-oriented manner.
  • •Plan and coordinate optimal cable layout for shovel dig heading and drill patterns with Mine Operations Supervisors.
  • •Execute safe shovel and drill moves on site while adhering to SOPs and best practices.
  • •Maintain pit cable standards and cleanliness, including markup with stands and crossover placement, and operate the cable reeler and required equipment.
  • •Maintain inventory and communicate maintenance needs for cable/dewatering supplies; assist Pit Labourer tasks including water/consumables moves, bit/steel changes, and pit signage.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: 42.25 hourly

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma or GED.
  • •Ability to be trained on various equipment and follow best practices with a strong focus on safety, integrity, and reliability.
  • •Mechanical ability/aptitude and self-motivation to work alone or with minimal supervision.
  • •Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • •Valid Class 5/7N driver’s license with personal transportation access.
