Key Responsibilities

  • •Support the investigative process for trial by gathering documents and information for legal assignments.
  • •Conduct research and analyze documents to prepare findings reports and formulate alternatives.
  • •Assess risk of alternatives, calculate costs of potential liability, and evaluate benefits/drawbacks for findings shared with the supervising attorney.
  • •Prepare drafts of legal documents (e.g., discovery responses, affidavits, motions, corporate minutes, contracts) and file documents with courts and regulatory authorities.
  • •Maintain attorneys’ files per attorney specifications and assist with administrative tasks (e.g., calendars, check writing/requesting, copying, and mail handling) to meet deadlines.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree; or 4 years of relevant education and/or experience.
  • •2 years of experience in legal support (including multi-tasking in a fast-paced, complex business environment).
  • •Proficient knowledge of the relevant legal function/discipline with demonstrated application toward work products.
  • •Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with clients, attorneys, and staff via in person, email, and telephone.
