Software Engineer PhD Intern, Streaming Algorithms (Summer 2026)

Help evolve Netflix’s Live streaming algorithms for scalability and improved streaming quality (QoE). You’ll work on adaptive streaming across the playback path, collaborate with teams across CDN, encoding, data science, consumer insights, and UI engineering, and validate improvements through controlled field experiments. This internship is designed for early-stage PhD students, with research aligned to network measurement, network performance algorithms, content delivery, or encoding technologies.
