Job Summary

Lead continuous improvement initiatives, new programs, and CAPEX projects across Walkerville Operations. Partner with Operations and Automation teams to resolve bottlenecks, enhance process control systems, and keep automation reliable, supported, and current. Manage PLC/HMI improvements, ensure health, safety, quality, and environmental compliance, and execute capital projects on time and within budget while collaborating with internal teams and external vendors.

Key Responsibilities

•Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and uphold company safety responsibilities.
•Maintain and continuously improve Process Control Systems, including PLC programming and Operator Interface (HMI) enhancements.
•Support day-to-day production decision-making and provide hands-on support to production, operations, and maintenance teams.
•Lead capital project execution, ensuring delivery on time and within budget, including Level B responsibility for projects from $10,000 to $3,000,000 CAD.
•Ensure regulatory compliance through third-party inspections (PSHR, ESA, TSSA) and foster continuous improvement by driving accountability and problem resolution.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: 104,900 - 131,100

Key Requirements

•Lead continuous improvement, new programs, and CAPEX execution in a manufacturing/production environment.
•Minimum 10+ years of experience in an automated manufacturing or production environment, including responsibility for production systems and processes.
•Strong process control background, including PLC programming and Operator Interface (HMI) enhancements.
•Experience managing stakeholders across multiple production departments and coordinating to resolve bottlenecks.
•Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Electrical, or Automation Engineering (or a college diploma in Process Automation Technology); Professional Engineer of Ontario preferred.
