Key Responsibilities

  • •Contribute to lighting design for highways, transport infrastructure, city beautification, residential areas, industrial facilities, decorative projects, sports facilities, car parks, and amenity areas.
  • •Perform site surveys/desktop studies to determine existing infrastructure pre-design and complete lighting assessments for environmental impact.
  • •Provide lighting design and ensure drawings are checked to required standards and quality while managing scope, deliverables, and timelines.
  • •Deliver regular work status updates on project progress, risks, issues, concerns, and changes; respond to and track senior engineer/project manager concerns.
  • •Coordinate with the broader design team and direct CAD technicians based on requirements and timelines, while embedding Health & Safety and supporting sustainability approach.
Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

  • •At least BEng in Electrical Engineering/Electronics Engineering/Electronics and Telecom Engineering with 3–6 years of relevant experience.
  • •Good working knowledge of lighting, signing, and electrical design programmes, including Lighting Reality, Dialux, AutoCAD, and Amtech.
  • •Experience in lighting design to relevant British and EU standards, including understanding of standards and legislation and Health & Safety.
  • •Completion or part completion of ILP’s Lighting Exterior Lighting Diploma (or equivalent).
  • •Good English communication skills, and experience coordinating with multi-offices and multi-discipline projects.
