Key Responsibilities

  • •Repair and maintain a wide range of electrical equipment and systems to ensure efficient operation.
  • •Carry out preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance repairs, including restoring electrical systems with minimum supervision.
  • •Assist Technician Engineers or attend jobs independently, using safe and effective methods, procedures, tools, and equipment.
  • •Perform maintenance in line with EHS standards and identify dangers related to high-voltage equipment.
  • •Monitor repeated breakdowns and suggest and implement resolutions to prevent recurrence; read electrical drawings and job instructions.

Key Requirements

  • •Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a Craft/Trade certificate (or equivalent).
  • •Diploma holders: 5 years’ experience in a similar position in a power plant and electrical sub-stations.
  • •Craft/Trade certificate holders: 8 years’ experience in electrical maintenance.
  • •Hands-on experience with generators, switchgear, transformers, and electrical schemes.
  • •Ability to read electrical drawings and follow job instructions; English proficiency to speak, read, and write at a good standard.
