Key Responsibilities

•Foster and guide the technical strategy for onboarding, defining backend architecture for signal collection, personalization pipelines, and experimentation infrastructure
•Partner with the Engineering Manager to cultivate a growth engineering mindset and balance velocity with reliability
•Scale impact through collaborative engineering with surfaces like Relevance, Feeds, and Notifications, including ML-powered systems
•Establish instrumentation to run rigorous A/B tests and use metrics to drive prioritization and learning
•Guide cross-functional alignment with Product, Design, Data Science, and other Consumer platform teams; advocate for reliability and maintainability

Key Requirements

•7+ years of experience in software engineering with a track record of leading cross-team initiatives that solve real business problems
•Experience with ranking, recommendations, and personalization, and ML-heavy products
•Ability to design backend architectures, signal-collection systems, and personalization pipelines
•Strong collaboration and mentorship skills; ability to partner with Product, Design, Data Science, and other teams
•Data-informed, metrics-driven mindset with experience in experimentation and A/B testing
