Key Responsibilities

•Own an infrastructure workstream end to end, covering design, implementation, and day-to-day running for areas like CI/CD, observability, or environment-build automation.
•Develop readable automation in Python, Bash, or Go to reduce toil and keep systems healthy.
•Build and extend infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, and diagnose broken environments to root cause using available signals.
•Operate across the stack, including AWS, orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker), operating systems (Linux and Windows), and networking; rotate focus areas about every six months.
•Operate in both cloud-native and classified on-premises environments, including air-gapped networks, and apply secure-configuration baselines within established ISM/PSPF standards.

•Around five or more years running infrastructure, cloud operations, platform, or Defence/MSP-infrastructure environments, with experience weighted over formal qualifications.
•Confident scripting and automation in at least one of Python, Bash, or Go, including handling error and edge cases without prompting.
•Hands-on production experience with infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform).
•Broad, hands-on understanding across cloud, operating systems, containers, and CI/CD, plus strong networking knowledge in cloud and hybrid environments.
•Australian citizen able to obtain and maintain an Australian NV2 security clearance (existing NV2 or equivalent preferred).
