Job Summary

Lead and manage the Apps & Experiences Storage team, owning storage strategy and execution from system design through production deployment. Provide deep technical oversight through design reviews and architecture discussions to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance. Serve as a subject-matter expert, set engineering excellence standards, mentor engineers, and grow the team. Partner with Product Management and cross-functional engineering to translate user needs into technical roadmaps and improve processes and tooling.

Key Responsibilities

•Own the storage team’s technical strategy and execution, driving projects from idea formulation and system design to implementation and deployment.
•Provide deep technical oversight via design reviews, architecture discussions, and detailed guidance on complex system implementations.
•Serve as a key technical contributor and subject matter expert to set engineering excellence and coding best practices.
•Mentor and coach engineers on complex technical challenges and career development; grow the team through proactive hiring.
•Define team plans and deliverables and remain accountable for platform availability, maintainability, and performance while collaborating with Product Management and cross-functional teams.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 291,250 - 341,250 annually

Key Requirements

•9+ years of experience designing and building large-scale production systems.
•2+ years of experience managing and leading teams building lean, mission-critical, highly concurrent, high-throughput, low-latency systems.
•Experience building and managing high-throughput systems with Redis, Postgres, and blob stores (e.g., S3, Azure blob, and/or Google cloud storage).
•Strong collaboration and communication skills.
•BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related majors, or equivalent experience.
