Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead and undertake standalone hydrological studies and support 1D–2D hydraulic modelling commissions to assess fluvial and surface water flooding.
  • •Prepare Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs), Strategic Flood Risk Assessments (SFRAs), and surface water drainage strategies including SuDS and environmental statements.
  • •Undertake quality assurance reviews of technical hydrological work and associated reporting.
  • •Nurture and develop graduate team members and junior colleagues through mentorship.
  • •Manage client relationships and assist with preparation of bids and proposals to meet project outcomes.

Key Requirements

  • •Undergraduate degree (2:1 or above) in Civil Engineering, Geography, Environmental Science, or related discipline.
  • •Extensive practical experience applying hydrological methods including FEH, ReFH2 and WINFAP for flow estimation.
  • •Extensive experience using GIS software including QGIS, ArcGIS and MapInfo.
  • •Extensive experience producing hydrological estimation reporting deliverables.
  • •Proven track record leading flood risk and water management projects, including quality assurance and tender/proposal preparation.
