Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead daily SOC operations as a player/coach, balancing hands-on incident response with team leadership and SOC maturity initiatives.
  • •Act as the senior escalation point for security incidents, including advanced threat hunting, incident analysis, and root-cause determination.
  • •Coordinate incident response across IT, infrastructure, and application teams; validate and enrich alerts from internal tools and the external MDR provider.
  • •Manage the MDR provider relationship day-to-day, aligning alert triage and escalation handling and driving improvements in detection coverage and alert fidelity.
  • •Develop and maintain SOC SOPs, playbooks, runbooks, and KPIs (e.g., MTTR, false positives, escalation rates), and standardize incident documentation for audit/compliance needs.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information security, or equivalent experience.
  • •7+ years of experience in a SOC, incident response, or cybersecurity operations role.
  • •Proven experience leading incident investigations and managing security escalations.
  • •Experience working with a managed detection and response (MDR) provider (preferred).
  • •Strong understanding of security operations tools (SIEM, XDR, EDR, SOAR) with experience in detection tuning, threat hunting, and log analysis.
