Key Responsibilities

•Lead daily SOC operations as a player/coach, balancing hands-on incident response with team leadership and SOC maturity initiatives.
•Act as the senior escalation point for security incidents, including advanced threat hunting, incident analysis, and root-cause determination.
•Coordinate incident response across IT, infrastructure, and application teams; validate and enrich alerts from internal tools and the external MDR provider.
•Manage the MDR provider relationship day-to-day, aligning alert triage and escalation handling and driving improvements in detection coverage and alert fidelity.
•Develop and maintain SOC SOPs, playbooks, runbooks, and KPIs (e.g., MTTR, false positives, escalation rates), and standardize incident documentation for audit/compliance needs.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information security, or equivalent experience.
•7+ years of experience in a SOC, incident response, or cybersecurity operations role.
•Proven experience leading incident investigations and managing security escalations.
•Experience working with a managed detection and response (MDR) provider (preferred).
•Strong understanding of security operations tools (SIEM, XDR, EDR, SOAR) with experience in detection tuning, threat hunting, and log analysis.
