Job Summary

Support land surveying work across transportation, environmental, water/wastewater, commercial, residential, solid waste, and energy projects. Maintain and use surveying instruments to perform field surveys, including learning and operating a total station with data collector, GPS equipment, digital level, and conventional level. Follow safety guidelines and site procedures, complete assigned training, and assist with documentation and studies. Work outdoors in all climates and be able to travel out of town as needed.

Key Responsibilities

•Support surveying work on a wide variety of transportation, environmental, water/wastewater, commercial, residential, solid waste, and energy projects.
•Utilize and maintain survey instruments and learn to operate a total station with data collector, GPS equipment, digital level, and conventional level.
•Comply with safety guidelines and site-specific procedures, including location data and statistical documentation.
•Complete training on assigned tasks and perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
•Be available for field work, including walking long distances and performing physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs.

•0–2+ years of experience.
•Valid driver’s license and ability to pass WSP’s Motor Vehicle screening.
