Job Summary

Operate heavy equipment for site work, working closely with laborers to complete projects safely and on time. You’ll transport and maneuver loads using front-end loaders and other machinery, follow equipment manuals and daily checklists, perform pre-start procedures, and maintain equipment cleanliness. The role reports to the Site Foreman and includes additional laborer tasks as needed, with strict adherence to safety procedures and training.

Key Responsibilities

•Work hand in hand with laborers to complete jobs on site.
•Operate heavy equipment safely and responsibly, including front-end loaders, excavators, and dozers.
•Communicate with the Site Foreman/Foreman on daily job specifications and ensure timely load transportation.
•Operate service equipment and perform regular maintenance on equipment.
•Perform daily pre-start procedures and keep equipment clean, including wiping down for inspection readiness.

Key Requirements

•At least 5 years of experience operating heavy equipment, including front-end loaders.
•Ability to operate equipment using hand and foot controls and follow manuals and daily equipment checklists.
•Perform daily pre-start procedures (e.g., service due date, fluid levels) and complete daily equipment checklists.
•Pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check, and pass a “Fit for Work” physical.
•Possess a valid driver’s license with a good driving record and be able to complete safe driver training (CDL may be required).
