Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide consultation and advice to HR Managers and Operations on company policies, employee relations, and human resources management.
  • •Ensure HR compliance with federal, state, and local employment-related laws (including equal employment opportunity and unemployment compensation).
  • •Partner on strategic HR initiatives and align programs, processes, and projects with business objectives.
  • •Serve as HR project manager for mill acquisitions and new mill openings; support training and development, performance/talent management, and employee relations.
  • •Coordinate safety and compliance activities (e.g., workers' compensation, DOT, OSHA, EPA), manage reporting/analytics of HR metrics, and support global mobility transfers between Canada and the U.S.

Key Requirements

  • •Post-secondary diploma/degree in a relevant field.
  • •5+ years of previous experience in human resources or in a leadership position with hands-on practical experience.
  • •Demonstrated understanding of client service.
  • •Demonstrated experience supporting multiple operating locations.
  • •Solid understanding of employment law principles (e.g., FLSA, FMLA, ADA) and experience handling investigations and employee relations issues.
