Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the development, governance, and continuous improvement of distribution system models used in planning tools, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and scalability.
  • •Establish and enforce data standards, validation processes, and quality controls to standardize and automate planning studies across operating companies.
  • •Oversee integration of multi-source utility data (GIS, SCADA, AMI, asset systems) into planning models and ensure data readiness for advanced analytics and AI applications.
  • •Lead design and implementation of automated planning analyses, including power flow, contingency, and scenario-based studies.
  • •Develop and deploy automation solutions and drive adoption of advanced planning tools and AI-driven insights while leading and mentoring a multidisciplinary team.

Salary: USD 134,720 - 168,400

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and 8+ years of relevant experience in power systems focused on distribution planning, modeling, or analytics.
  • •Strong knowledge of distribution system modeling and power flow analysis, planning studies, and grid modernization technologies including DER impacts.
  • •Experience with power system software such as CYME, Synergi, OpenDSS, and PSCAD, plus scripting/programming in Python and SQL and data/model integration.
  • •Understanding of utility data systems (GIS, AMI, SCADA) and regulatory/compliance frameworks (NERC, ISO, PUCs).
  • •Strong communication skills for both technical and executive audiences.
