Key Responsibilities

  • •Extend and adapt the low-latency streaming stack to RTOS platforms (e.g., QNX, AUTOSAR Adaptive/Classic) to meet determinism, timing, and partitioning requirements.
  • •Develop QM-classified streaming software using freedom-from-interference principles to ensure architectural isolation from ASIL-rated components per ISO 26262.
  • •Collaborate with functional safety teams to ensure streaming components satisfy freedom-from-interference and resource-partitioning requirements.
  • •Build and evolve test infrastructure and tools to validate real-time performance and fault-tolerance for automotive streaming scenarios.
  • •Define and monitor performance/safety metrics, drive continuous product improvement, and review code and designs to evolve engineering and safety processes.

Salary: USD 184,000 - 287,500 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Proficiency in C/C++ with strong systems programming and open-box debugging skills.
  • •Hands-on experience developing, debugging, and performance tuning real-time, latency-sensitive software on QNX or other RTOS environments in automotive or similar safety-critical domains.
  • •Solid understanding of ISO 26262 concepts (QM vs. ASIL) and freedom-from-interference/partitioning principles.
  • •Experience with real-time video/audio pipelines including encoding/decoding, RTP/RTCP/SRTP, and QoS algorithms (Adaptive streaming, FEC, L4S, ECN).
  • •BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering (or equivalent) with 8+ years of experience.
