Key Responsibilities

  • •Own and optimize the ingestion pipeline from API to ClickHouse, improving throughput, latency, reliability, and cost efficiency.
  • •Design ClickHouse schemas, optimize merge strategies and batch inserts, and write/review analytical queries for dashboards and the UI.
  • •Build infrastructure-heavy features such as LLM-as-a-Judge processing, alerting at scale, client-code execution, and batch dataset operations.
  • •Run load tests against production data to validate ClickHouse schema, migration, or query optimizations before committing.
  • •Operate Langfuse Cloud across production environments and make self-hosting effortless via Docker Compose and Helm chart deployments.

Key Requirements

  • •Strong backend engineering experience, with interest in database internals, query optimization, and distributed systems.
  • •Experience working with large-scale data, data pipelines, and/or high-throughput event processing (ClickHouse experience is a plus).
  • •Comfortable reading and writing TypeScript and SQL.
  • •You organize yourself and have strong opinions about what to build and how to ship it.
  • •CS or quantitative degree preferred; interest in open source and talking to users about scaling challenges.
