Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide industrial engineering services to make effective use of manpower, material, and machine resources.
  • •Head and drive Lean Manufacturing teams to improve yields, reduce defects and waste, and improve logistics while reducing costs.
  • •Participate in the Integrated Business Plan to identify cost reduction opportunities, capacity deficiencies, and logistical problems; build a 2-year strategic capacity plan with Capex requirements.
  • •Monitor plant efficiencies and yields against benchmarks; provide monthly and historical production statistics.
  • •Update labour standards and maintain standard operation sheets; run the learnership training program for engineering interns.

Key Requirements

  • •Industrial Engineering degree or related degree.
  • •Minimum Green Belt certification.
  • •3-5 years of continuous improvement experience using systems such as TPM, Lean, or 20 Keys/operational excellence frameworks.
  • •Knowledge of standard and activity-based costing and operations financial systems.
  • •Extensive knowledge of operations financial reporting and the drivers behind budgets and expenses.
