Key Responsibilities

  • •Modeling and control: understand and model airship dynamics to design and implement control and guidance laws for mission execution
  • •Robustness and safety: develop flight strategies for difficult conditions and design risk mitigation for degraded modes
  • •Hardware integration: debug embedded systems and implement flight computers, actuators, and various sensors
  • •Testing and documentation: define and participate in flight tests and simulations with thorough documentation of models and control laws
  • •Future innovation: improve performance of existing airships and participate in design of future flight solutions

Key Requirements

  • •Master’s degree or equivalent in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (a PhD is a plus)
  • •At least 5 years of professional experience in GNC within the drone, aerospace, or automotive industries
  • •Strong knowledge of modeling and control with Simulink and dynamics/automation concepts
  • •Proficiency in Python and C/C++, with MATLAB/Simulink experience and autocoding practices
  • •Strong embedded software understanding (microcontrollers, actuators, drivers, flight computers) and ability to debug hardware in the field
