Key Responsibilities

  • •Coach leaders, managers, and associates through Gemba walks, A3 problem solving, standard work development/adherence, and visual controls highlighting normal vs. abnormal.
  • •Participate in rapid improvement events including pre/post standard work and facilitate projects, events, and “just do-it’s.”
  • •Use Lean transformation and daily management methods such as value stream mapping, cycle time analyses, time studies, line balance improvements, and workplace analysis to drive improvements.
  • •Create and implement standard work and teaching/coaching value stream teams and leaders; develop job aids and error-proofing tools to support workplace changes.
  • •Support Lean culture transformation through change management models, training needs, engagement for RIEs and value stream analysis, and track/report results to leadership.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years deploying Lean in a world-class Lean environment.
  • •Experience deploying Lean/Continuous Improvement in a transactional environment.
  • •Knowledge of basic Lean Manufacturing concepts and continuous-improvement tools and techniques.
  • •Ability to use personal computer applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • •Travel approximately 15–20% to other locations and customers.
