Key Responsibilities

  • •Monitor and analyze new or changing laws, regulations, supervisory guidance, enforcement activity, and industry developments, translating them into practical guidance.
  • •Answer regulatory compliance questions for Product, Governance, People, and other cross-functional teams.
  • •Maintain Plaid’s regulatory policies, positions, and analyses.
  • •Support the Policy team on proactive engagement with policymakers, regulators, and government officials.
  • •Partner with Compliance, Security, and operational owners to assess risks, implement and operationalize relevant updates, and create training materials.

Key Requirements

  • •J.D. (or equivalent) and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar, in good standing.
  • •5+ years of legal experience providing solutions-oriented advice in a reputable law firm or in-house legal department.
  • •Strong knowledge of U.S. financial-services, consumer-protection, privacy, and AI/ADMT regulations.
  • •Experience with GLBA, FCRA, UDAAP, PIPEDA, GDPR, state privacy laws, and related regulatory frameworks.
  • •Experience monitoring and interpreting regulatory developments and providing actionable guidance to business partners.
