Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide a comprehensive pharmaceutical service to in-hospital patients and the public in compliance with legislation, SAPC regulations, and internal policies.
  • •Ensure the availability of medicines and scheduled substances to stores and the public.
  • •Ensure accurate dispensing and deliver a safe and efficient medication service.
  • •Maintain efficient stock holding of medicines and scheduled substances.
  • •Provide an outpatient pharmacy service.

Key Requirements

  • •B Pharm / B Sc Pharm / Dip Pharm qualification.
  • •1–3 years of experience in a hospital pharmacy.
  • •Knowledge of pharmacy legislation and Good Pharmacy Practices, including the Medicine Control Act 101 of 1965.
  • •Ability to ensure accurate dispensing and safe, efficient medication service for in-hospital patients and the public.
  • •Experience with pharmacy systems (e.g., UNISOLV, AS400 & SAP) and stock management/distribution.
