Job Summary

Drive a lowboy truck to transport construction equipment to and from job sites. Perform pre- and post-trip inspections, including checking fluids, lights, tires, brakes, steering, and safety items, and make routine operating adjustments as needed. Safely operate the equipment in a construction environment using required CDL endorsements. Coordinate load coverage/unloading and communicate effectively while working as a team player.

Key Responsibilities

•Drive a lowboy truck to transport construction equipment to and from job sites.
•Perform pre- and post-trip inspections, including checking operational and safety components, and allow warm-up period.
•Make normal operating adjustments to the lowboy truck as needed.
•Cover/uncover loads and move transported equipment as required, including changing wheels and adjusting lugs.
•Occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 lbs and use hand tools such as wrenches and screwdrivers.

Key Requirements

•3+ years of experience operating a lowboy truck in a construction environment.
•Commercial Drivers’ License (CDL) with required endorsements per 49 CFR383.91 for heavy straight vehicle (Group B) or combination (Group A).
•Ability to perform pre- and post-trip inspections (oil, water, horn, lights, tires, windshield/wipers, fire extinguisher, fuel, seat belt) and warm-up/startup checks.
•Knowledge of heavy equipment and safe, efficient operation.
•Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and work effectively as a team player.
