Key Responsibilities

  • •Establish and lead a natural gas trading team originating, structuring, and executing physical and financial natural gas transactions.
  • •Develop and execute directional, spread, physical, and financial trading strategies to reduce supply risk and ensure on-time delivery.
  • •Manage trading positions based on fundamental, technical, weather-driven, fuel/emissions, regulatory, and operational signals, with disciplined risk management and execution.
  • •Track and analyze performance metrics and P&L against budget/targets; benchmark sourcing/trading trends to drive continuous improvement.
  • •Recruit, mentor, and scale traders and analysts; maintain compliance with applicable CFTC/FERC or equivalent frameworks and company risk controls.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of experience in natural gas or energy commodity trading or energy market analysis.
  • •Experience managing material cost control / energy commodities and their trading or optimization.
  • •Strong knowledge of US (and/or global) natural gas markets, including pipeline/storage optimization, hubs, and physical and financial trading.
  • •Track record generating natural gas trading P&L, commercial impact, or significant cost savings/supply optimization.
  • •Advanced analytics skills including Excel and SQL; PowerBI and preferably Python for analyzing large datasets.
