Job Summary

Support UK Infrastructure projects in the transportation and utilities space as a Cost Manager within Turner & Townsend’s contract and cost management team. You’ll manage contracts, monitor and forecast project costs to completion, control cost variance and cash flow, handle change effectively, and collaborate with client and contractor teams on KPIs, value engineering, and final account negotiation. You may also lead people and commissions as needed.

Key Responsibilities

•Build and maintain professional relationships with clients, colleagues, and other project stakeholders.
•Administer contracts in line with project objectives and policies, ensuring governance and best practice.
•Provide accurate project cost monitoring, forecasting, and reporting to completion in line with budget.
•Proactively manage cost variance and contract cash flow, ensuring timely and correct applications.
•Manage contract change, support value engineering, and help ensure final accounts are negotiated and agreed.

Key Requirements

•Previous experience or a strong understanding of contract management, ideally NEC3 Option A, C & E.
•Experience in cost management, including cost variance monitoring, forecasting, and reporting to completion.
•Strong knowledge of valuation, risk management, procurement, estimating, and pricing.
•Understanding of construction industry technical matters, including procurement routes and value management/value engineering.
•Ideally degree qualified (or equivalent) and/or working towards a relevant professional body membership.
