Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead and develop engineering teams, including hiring, coaching, and retaining engineers while building a culture of ownership, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • •Own delivery outcomes by ensuring teams ship production-ready software incrementally with clear integration milestones instead of big-bang releases.
  • •Participate in technical direction through architecture discussions, design reviews, and engineering trade-off decisions.
  • •Drive engineering standards (TDD, CI/CD discipline, observability, and production readiness) as non-negotiable requirements.
  • •Remove blockers and create clarity by resolving cross-team dependencies and shielding teams from noise to enable delivery.
  • •Foster AI-first engineering practices so teams actively use AI tools to accelerate development, testing, and problem-solving.
  • •Collaborate across sites as a peer with engineering leads to ensure shared ownership and consistent standards.

Key Requirements

  • •Proven experience leading engineering teams delivering distributed systems, owning delivery outcomes alongside managing engineers.
  • •Strong technical background in modern Java or Kotlin, microservices, and event-driven architectures, with ability to review code/design and spot technical issues.
  • •Experience building and scaling teams through hiring, onboarding, and creating effective team structures.
  • •Track record of delivering software iteratively in complex environments using integration-first approaches (e.g., vertical slicing).
  • •Ability to engage credibly with architects and principal engineers on technical decisions, with experience embedding AI-assisted engineering into team workflows.
