Key Responsibilities

  • •Coordinate the identification, prioritisation, and delivery of fault and defect repairs across the Substations Delivery Area, aligned to network performance objectives.
  • •Assist and coordinate fault and defect management activities and monitor asset health and condition data to determine repair priorities.
  • •Develop and track repair plans and coordinate repair projects, including contractor engagement, materials, procurement, and project administration.
  • •Plan and facilitate outages to enable fault and defect repairs alongside maintenance and capital works, coordinating with operational teams, schedulers, and stakeholders.
  • •Prepare work instructions and supporting documentation for non-routine activities, and manage contractor performance, safety, and compliance.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience managing and resolving faults, defects, maintenance, or asset repair activities in electrical transmission, power, utilities, industrial, or engineering environments.
  • •Knowledge of substation assets and asset health management, including fault diagnosis, repair planning, and risk mitigation.
  • •Ability to coordinate outages, resources, and work schedules to deliver maintenance and repair activities safely.
  • •Analytical ability to interpret technical data and translate findings into practical repair and improvement plans.
  • •HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, or significant relevant industry experience, plus a full UK driving licence.
