Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and engineer packaging systems for servers, laptops, and desktops, including cushioning and corrugated structures.
  • •Develop packaging solutions to meet protection requirements for shock, vibration, compression, and environmental exposure.
  • •Define test plans and validate packaging designs using Dell and industry standards (ISTA, ASTM).
  • •Partner with hardware engineering early to influence product architecture for optimal packability.
  • •Drive cost-effective packaging strategies (material selection, cube optimization, freight efficiency) and create packaging specifications, drawings, and BOMs.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • •8+ years of experience in packaging engineering.
  • •Strong knowledge of packaging materials such as corrugated fiberboard, EPS/EPE foams, and molded pulp.
  • •Familiarity with CAD tools for packaging design (e.g., SolidWorks, ArtiosCAD).
  • •Understanding of global logistics and distribution environments.
