Job Summary

Lead Apptronik’s Production Engineering team responsible for the engineering “last mile” of the humanoid Apollo—integrating subsystems, deploying to Robot Park and customer sites, and commissioning under Factory Acceptance Tests. You’ll set reliability standards, build fleet deployment and observability practices, direct tooling for provisioning and configuration management, and align schedules with Commercial, Service & Support, and the PMO while managing and mentoring a cross-disciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

•Build, lead, and grow the Production Engineering team (software support, site-reliability, hardware-configuration), setting priorities and owning execution and quality.
•Own end-to-end integration of humanoid subsystems and drive acceptance under Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) at Robot Park and customer sites.
•Champion on-site deployment, bring-up, and commissioning for internal and external customers.
•Establish reliability standards, tooling, and on-call practices for fleet uptime in real-world field conditions.
•Own centralized fleet deployment and rollout (canary, staged, cascading) plus the observability/monitoring that enables rollout decisions.

Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

•Formal people-management experience hiring, developing, and directing engineers.
•8+ years of software/robotics engineering experience, or 4+ years of direct humanoid/manipulation/teleoperation domain experience, including a lead/ownership role.
•Proven technical leadership delivering complex cross-disciplinary systems.
•Hands-on experience deploying, integrating, and commissioning complex hardware/software systems in the field, ideally robots.
•Strong systems breadth across Linux, networking (DDS/UDP/TCP), provisioning/configuration management (Ansible), and software (C++/Python).
