Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, build, and maintain the macOS client at the heart of the endpoint security solution, keeping it fast, resilient, and unobtrusive on users’ Macs.
  • •Help shape feature and service architecture and provide technical direction on complex projects.
  • •Review functional and technical requirements to identify gaps, propose simplifications, and communicate ideas with cross-functional teams.
  • •Take accountability for code quality through rigorous code review and pull-request feedback, ensuring unit testing and guidelines are met (or help formulate them).
  • •Develop and improve build, deployment, and test automation; identify and resolve technical debt; investigate customer issues escalated to engineering; and track emerging macOS/security technologies.

Key Requirements

  • •A degree in a software engineering discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • •Significant hands-on software engineering experience with specialist depth in at least one technical area.
  • •Hands-on macOS platform development with proficiency in Swift and Objective-C and/or C++, plus experience building systems-level or endpoint security software.
  • •Experience with macOS development including launch daemons/launch agents, unified logging, and XPC components.
  • •Demonstrable experience directing agentic AI development tools (e.g., Claude Code) by framing problems, challenging output, and reviewing code for correctness, security, and maintainability.
