Key Responsibilities

•Own fluid/HVAC components across campus – compressors, heat exchangers, pumps, valves and dust collection systems; lead design and analysis.
•Perform CAD modeling and design of these systems.
•Perform fluid analyses for pressure balance, allowable design, and consumables determination.
•Collaborate with production, avionics, GNC, mission operations and other SpaceX programs to meet requirements.
•Ensure designs are manufacturable and reliable; support manufacturing transition and sustainment.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 135,000 - 190,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline; 5+ years of professional experience with valves, pumps, COPVs, compressors, heat exchangers, pressure transducers, or temperature sensors.
•Master’s degree in an engineering discipline (preferred).
•Hands-on experience with fluid handling systems and data acquisition/test instrumentation (pressure transducers, thermocouples, RTDs, relays).
•Experience with HVAC systems and air ducting; NX or other CAD packages with GD&T per ASME Y14.5-1994 and tolerance stack-up analysis.
•Ability to work independently and willingness to work extended hours/weekends.
