Key Responsibilities

  • •Hold the MTF MiFID compliance function and act as the MFSA-approved person for the role, working alongside the OEM MLRO on financial crime matters affecting venue activity.
  • •Own and continuously develop the MTF compliance framework end to end, including policies, procedures, controls, registers, and the monitoring programme for applicable regulations.
  • •Serve as primary compliance point of contact for the MFSA on venue matters such as authorisation variations, notifications, thematic reviews, RFIs, inspections, and remediation.
  • •Own venue rulebook governance and oversee member/participant admission and ongoing monitoring of compliance with venue rules.
  • •Provide compliance oversight for orderly trading, transparency/waivers/deferrals, transaction reporting, and reference data accuracy/completeness; deliver Board/committee reporting and represent OKX with regulators and industry forums.

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years in regulatory compliance within financial services, market infrastructure, fintech or crypto, including senior/head-of-function experience.
  • •Direct experience with trading venue compliance (MTF/OTF/regulated market/SI or equivalent execution venue).
  • •Working knowledge of MiFID II and MiFIR for venue operators (including orderly trading, transparency, and transaction reporting).
  • •Experience with market abuse surveillance and MAR obligations for a venue operator, including STOR decision-making.
  • •Eligible for MFSA approval as the holder of the compliance function, with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
