Backend Engineer - Large Model Knowledge System/Content understanding/RAG (ByteDance Singapore)

Build and iterate a multimodal content understanding and retrieval system for a large-model knowledge base. Optimize vector computing components, inference performance, and large-scale vector retrieval/video representation models. Design and extend large-model RAG and knowledge base architecture, maintaining backend systems for in-house vector databases. Improve cloud-native capabilities such as monitoring, billing, and elastic scheduling while tackling service availability, throughput, and storage bottlenecks.
