Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead design projects across secondary, protection, and control systems, providing technical expertise within project teams to support delivery excellence.
  • •Prepare secondary-system deliverables including SLDs, protection logic diagrams, metering layouts, and cable termination diagrams.
  • •Develop power system studies such as load flow, short circuit, transient stability, motor starting, and arc flash studies, including relay coordination and relay setting calculations.
  • •Design control and relay panel layouts (GA drawings, functional block diagrams, BOMs) and develop SCADA communication schemes and protection system integration.
  • •Support commissioning and testing, including Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and site integration of secondary systems, and prepare external connection tables and cable schedules.

  • •Demonstrated experience delivering secondary systems and related projects to design standards and specifications for major clients.
  • •Experience delivering secondary, protection and related projects across scope/specifications through detailed design, review sign-off, report writing, and relay configurations.
  • •Familiarity with relevant Australian standards (e.g., AS/NZS) and industry best practices.
  • •Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • •Chartered Engineer status (or working towards), supported by a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related discipline.
