Key Responsibilities

  • •Write 3–4 stories per week, plus briefs for newsletters.
  • •Generate pitches and cultivate sources on the enterprise and business beat.
  • •Fulfill editor-assigned story coverage and collaborate through the editing process while meeting deadlines.
  • •Contribute to legislative coverage, including VTDigger’s Final Reading newsletter during the session.
  • •Report in person when needed (including at the Statehouse during the legislative session) and use public-records requests for investigative leads.
