Key Responsibilities

  • •Drive resolution of coding backlogs, unbilled or missing encounters, and coding-related worklists.
  • •Identify documentation/workflow barriers preventing timely claim submission and monitor 72-hour claim submission TAT, escalating as required.
  • •Support targeted AR backlog and account resolution for aged, denied, high-dollar, or unresolved claims.
  • •Perform comprehensive claim-level research across submission, clearinghouse/payer responses, denials, corrections, appeals, resubmissions, remittance, adjustments, and historical payment posting.
  • •Maintain project plans/trackers and provide regular, sometimes daily, status updates; own assigned claims through final resolution and monitor claim touch TAT status updates.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 3-5 years combination of coding and AR experience.
  • •Knowledge of AMA CPT, CMS, and ICD-10 coding guidelines and proper AR resolution.
  • •Strong research and organizational skills with the ability to work efficiently and independently.
  • •Proficiency with Excel, Power BI reporting, and payer portal navigation.
  • •AAPC certification in coding or billing (or equivalent) and at least one-year AdvancedMD EHR experience are preferred.
