Job Summary

Build and maintain agentic tool features for GitLab’s monolith backend, enabling AI agents to interact across the software delivery lifecycle. You’ll design and implement REST and GraphQL APIs, improve automated testing (including RSpec), and lead end-to-end delivery of complex capabilities. Work closely with Product, UX, frontend/backend, and AI specialists, participate in Tier 2 on-call rotations, and help advance responsible AI integration for GitLab’s MCP server.

•Develop, ship, and maintain agentic tool features across GitLab’s monolith backend with secure, well-tested, performant implementations.
•Collaborate with Product Management, UX, frontend, backend, and AI specialists to refine requirements and deliver high-quality iterative enhancements.
•Design, implement, and review GraphQL/REST APIs and backend logic to ensure reliability, scalability, and clear contracts with frontend clients.
•Improve and extend automated testing, including RSpec and other frameworks, to strengthen quality and developer feedback loops.
•Participate in Tier 2 on-call rotations to troubleshoot production issues, contribute to root cause analysis, and enhance observability and resiliency.
