Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, deploy, and maintain VMware Cloud Foundation private cloud infrastructure (vSphere, vSAN, NSX-T, SDDC Manager).
  • •Manage workload domains, cluster creation, host commissioning, and lifecycle operations; implement HA, scalability, and disaster recovery.
  • •Configure NSX-T networking and security, including micro-segmentation, distributed firewall, overlay networks, and load balancing.
  • •Automate patching/upgrades and provisioning using SDDC Manager, PowerCLI, Python, and Terraform; enforce configuration standards and compliance checks.
  • •Set up monitoring and reliability operations using vRealize Operations, Log Insight, or Tanzu Observability; troubleshoot platform issues and implement backup/DR strategies (SRM or vSphere Replication).

Key Requirements

  • •Strong experience with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) architecture, workload domains, SDDC Manager, and lifecycle automation.
  • •Deep knowledge of vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, vSAN, and NSX-T.
  • •Experience using SDDC Manager for patching, upgrades, and lifecycle automation across VCF components.
  • •Automation experience with PowerCLI, Python, and Terraform; familiarity with Git and CI/CD/infrastructure-as-code patterns.
  • •Strong troubleshooting skills across compute, network, and storage layers, including vSAN health/performance and ESXi/NSX-T/SDDC Manager issues.
