Key Responsibilities

  • •Own data as a product, starting from customer/AI-agent decisions and working backwards to the data required.
  • •Be opinionated about sources and quality by setting standards for dataset authority, coverage, freshness, and conflicting information handling.
  • •Build ingestion pipelines beyond APIs for structured data, external APIs, documents, and published guidance, including change detection and traceable outputs.
  • •Structure and serve information so products and AI agents can retrieve the right facts in context, preserving provenance, geographic scope, and effective dates.
  • •Deliver reliability across ingestion, transformation, storage, and serving using monitoring, validation, and recovery; set technical direction and document trade-offs.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience owning production data platforms or major parts of them, with clear architectural decision-making.
  • •Strong SQL, data modelling, and production programming skills, including orchestration, testing, deployment, and reliable pipeline operations.
  • •Ability to evaluate source quality for specific use cases, reconcile inconsistencies, and make uncertainty or gaps visible downstream.
  • •Experience handling messy external sources such as inconsistent formats, changing schemas, incomplete records, rate limits, and integration failures.
  • •Product mindset to translate ambiguous needs into a useful data product with domain experts and product engineers.
