Job Summary

Support West and/or East region integrity corrosion control projects by performing cathodic protection system activities, including electrical surveys, current requirement tests, and inspections of anodes, test stations, rectifiers, and insulation fittings. Collect data to design cathodic protection systems, maintain maps and records, and partner with the Pipeline Integrity Management team on ground bed systems and direct assessment activities. Train and mentor others while ensuring accurate reporting, safety compliance, and responsiveness to natural gas and other emergencies.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform and may lead cathodic protection system activities in compliance with company, regulatory, and safety procedures.
•Collect information to support design of cathodic protection systems and conduct electrical surveys/current requirement tests for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
•Inspect and monitor corrosion control work of contractor and company crews, including installation of anodes, test stations, beds, rectifiers, and insulation fittings.
•Work with the Pipeline Integrity Management team on design, location, and inspection of ground bed cathodic protection systems; lead direct assessment and related activities.
•Maintain maps and records, complete accurate reports, train/mentor employees, and ensure readiness for emergencies and safety/encroachment issues.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or equivalent plus three years of experience as a Corrosion Control Technician (or equivalent).
•Successful completion of Corrosion Learning Path training, OJT, and Operator Qualifications (OQ), plus any required OQs and classroom training/certifications.
•Must hold Cathodic Protection Tester (CP1) certification.
•Requires valid driver’s license in accordance with company standards.
•Records management system experience and working knowledge of software applications to create documents, reports, and graphical design.
