Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop the foundation’s approach to AI and health, including investment in AI applications across diagnostics, end-user engagement, and decision support.
  • •Understand ecosystem constraints and opportunities for AI in health and identify key partners across technical, advocacy, government, academic, and funding spheres.
  • •Create benchmarks and evaluation frameworks for AI in health with partners, governments, and regulators (accuracy, safety, usability, cost effectiveness).
  • •Lead thinking on design and execution of clinical trials for decision support tools in healthcare.
  • •Manage a portfolio of AI-in-health investments, provide technical guidance to program teams, and prepare briefs and presentations for stakeholders.

Key Requirements

  • •Advanced degree in computer science, data science, public health, or related field with 10+ years of experience (or equivalent).
  • •10+ years of experience in health and technology development/application.
  • •Experience supporting development, testing, launch, or scale-up of AI-based technology.
  • •Demonstrated conceptual understanding of AI.
  • •Experience with governments, Ministries of Health, NGOs, academic institutions, and global funders, particularly in the global South.
