Location: San Francisco
Workplace: Hybrid
Employment Type: Full time
Job Function: Program & Project Management (PMO)
Seniority: Mid level

Key Responsibilities

  • •Translate model, product, and data-platform needs into precise requirements for access patterns, consistency, durability, freshness, availability, and scalability, including memory/history/retrieval and latency.
  • •Partner with engineering to transform data and storage architecture into repeatable scale units (provisioning, placement, routing, data movement, readiness checks) spanning storage, compute, and networking.
  • •Lead cross-stack programs across ingestion/processing, databases/indexes, and file/object storage, making data ownership, schema compatibility, CDC, replay, and consumer-readiness contracts explicit.
  • •Drive cost and efficiency architectural inputs by evaluating footprint, index/replication amplification, redundant copies, tiering, caching, and network movement.
  • •Lead resilience, recovery, and migration efforts: define failure scenarios, validate backup/failover/PIT recovery, execute staged cutovers with rollback, and ensure operational handoff and self-service readiness.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 257,000 - 445,000 annually
Perks:EquityRelocation

Key Requirements

  • •Have independently owned complex production programs in data platforms, databases, or storage infrastructure and explain the architectural decisions and impact.
  • •Deep working knowledge of hyperscaler/cloud storage technologies (e.g., Amazon S3 or Azure Blob Storage), including performance, placement, resiliency, and cost constraints.
  • •Understand the full data and storage stack across APIs, ingestion/processing, databases/storage engines/indexes, caching/replication/data movement, and the durable-storage, CPU, and network layers.
  • •Translate model, product, and data-consumer needs into precise platform requirements, challenge assumptions, and define evidence for capability readiness and scaling changes.
  • •Lead delivery across product, model, data, database, storage, and infrastructure teams to deliver end-to-end outcomes where ownership is shared or unclear.
