Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide technical support using anthropological and archaeological field techniques for locating, testing, recording, mapping, and evaluating sites
  • •Support field surveys through pedestrian surveys and shovel test surveys
  • •Use topographic maps, aerial photographs, and ESRI Arc Field Maps GPS data collection software to conduct survey work
  • •Work long hours in harsh environments and varying weather conditions
  • •Plan and execute personal assignments with minimal instruction

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or a related discipline
  • •One (1) year minimum of archaeological field experience

  • •Knowledge of equipment, technology, and paperwork used in recording and documenting archaeological sites and artifacts
  • •Ability to work independently and plan/execute personal assignments with minimal instruction
