Job Summary

Operate machinery in Tyson’s highly automated meat processing/packaging facility to keep product flowing through production while following food safety and Tyson procedures. Monitor and adjust machine settings, resolve jams and malfunctions, and notify supervisors when maintenance is needed. Work in either Raw or RTE production areas, operating equipment (including forklifts) and using the MES system, while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized workspace.

Key Responsibilities

•Operate machinery to ensure continuous product flow through the production process while adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
•Monitor and adjust machine settings as needed; resolve jams and equipment malfunctions and escalate maintenance needs to the supervisor.
•Maintain safe work practices and contribute to a clean, orderly, and organized workspace.
•In Raw/RTE areas, perform production tasks such as lubrication/inspection adjustments, sanitation/cleaning, robotic monitoring, and supplying lines with film.
•Open and close work orders in the MES system and monitor, interpret, and resolve system alerts.

Key Requirements

•Minimum of 3 months of machine or packer operator experience and at least 6 months of continuous work in the last 3 years (experience must be documented on the application).
•Operate machinery to maintain continuous product flow and ensure proper ingredients/supplies are used on the line.
•Monitor and adjust machine settings as needed, and notify the supervisor if machines require maintenance.
•For Raw/RTE areas: perform tasks such as resolving jams and malfunctions, cleaning/sanitation, and identifying product or material quality defects and taking appropriate action.
•Be willing to meet physical requirements including standing 8-12 hours, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in cold/damp conditions (28–42 degrees).
