  • •Design mechanical systems and subsystems for electro-mechanical circuit protection devices for low- and medium-voltage AC/DC applications.
  • •Develop strong technical knowledge in power-electronic based circuit breaker mechanical design, testing, and applications.
  • •Prototype, test, evaluate, and iterate mechanical systems and devices in relevant lab environments.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant engineering field from an accredited institution.
  • •Minimum 5 years of experience in new product design, development, testing and optimization.
  • •Strong experience using Pro-E/Creo or SolidWorks.
  • •Strong understanding of switching mechanism design, thermal management, and magnetics optimization.
  • •Experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, DC/AC power supplies, capacitor bank test systems, and high-speed video cameras.
