Perform on-site shop maintenance and light repairs for trailers, including DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and routine tasks like oil changes, battery checks, and lubrication. Troubleshoot and complete minor repairs on trailer systems such as brakes, air lines, auxiliary pumps/engines, liftgates, and brake chambers. Document work on repair orders using company systems, follow safety/OSHA-EPA-DOT policies, and coordinate parts and repair approvals with the shop parts and service writer teams.

•Follow and comply with safe operating practices and procedures.
•Independently determine parts required for each job and interact with the shop parts department to obtain them.
•Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and DOT inspections, including follow-up repairs for light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a shop environment.
•Use hand tools, precision instruments, welding equipment, lifts, and jacks to complete repairs and maintenance.
•Document work on repair orders, upload required pictures/findings, and complete DOT forms and other documentation accurately and on time.
