Key Responsibilities

  • •Support assigned interior products across the development lifecycle from concept and packaging through engineering release, prototype builds, validation, manufacturing launch, and production support.
  • •Create interior solutions that meet luxury, craftsmanship, comfort, ergonomics, performance, safety, quality, functionality, and cost/mass/timing/manufacturing objectives.
  • •Develop and maintain engineering deliverables including technical requirements, CAD models and drawings, DVP&R, DFMEAs, validation plans, engineering releases, and issue-management documentation.
  • •Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Design, Vehicle Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, Program Management, Marketing) to achieve program milestones.
  • •Lead supplier technical engagement (feasibility assessments, design reviews, quote evaluations, cost optimization, technical negotiations, and delivery of engineering milestones).

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Product Design Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • •5+ years designing, developing, validating, releasing, and launching automotive interior components and systems (e.g., soft trim, hard trim, instrument panels, door trims, consoles, headliners, decorative trim).
  • •Experience taking products through the full development lifecycle from concept and packaging through engineering release, validation, industrialization, and production launch.
  • •Strong knowledge of automotive interior systems, materials, manufacturing processes, industry benchmarks, and supplier capabilities.
  • •Proficiency with CATIA V5/V6 (or equivalent) for 3D modeling, packaging studies, drafting, design reviews, and DFM/DFA evaluations.
