Job Summary

Oversee and supervise the equipment division across the assigned area, ensuring equipment needs are met and maintenance is performed effectively, efficiently, and on time. Manage cost control for rolling stock, authorize purchases, coordinate outside repairs, and monitor equipment utilization and unbilled hours. Maintain compliance with MSHA, OSHA, and DOT regulations, enforce safety processes, and lead performance evaluation and coaching for direct reports.

Key Responsibilities

•Oversee/supervise all facets of the equipment division in the assigned area to ensure equipment needs are met.
•Maintain cost control for rolling stock by authorizing purchases of parts, supplies, shop tools, and outside repairs.
•Ensure equipment repairs and preventive maintenance are completed effectively, efficiently, and on time; manage outside repairs for accurate work and billing.
•Be visible in the field by inspecting equipment at job sites, plants, and crushers to schedule repairs prior to failure; maintain accurate shop paperwork.
•Enforce company safety rules and procedures, conduct safety meetings/toolbox talks, monitor safe driving via Motive, and complete annual evaluations of direct reports.

Key Requirements

•Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college/technical school, or two to four years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
•Previous supervisory experience.
•Ability to read and interpret safety rules, contracts, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; write routine reports and correspondence.
•Must have strong people skills and proven track record managing a team and multiple jobs simultaneously; cultivate customer/employee relationships.
•Working knowledge to use a computer to communicate and analyze data, including Outlook and MS Office programs, plus construction software and web-based programs.
