Key Responsibilities

  • •Market Access Strategy: Develop a deep understanding of regulatory, licensing, and market entry requirements across countries and regions; Build and execute strategies to obtain approvals that enable Northwood infrastructure and services to operate in new markets; Identify regulatory, geopolitical, and commercial risks that could impact deployment and develop mitigation plans
  • •Licensing & Regulatory Engagement: Maintain ultimate ownership across the lifecycle of in-country licensing approval, with ability and flexibility to engage with all local stakeholders and travel as needed; Prepare and manage licensing, authorization, and compliance submissions to national regulators and relevant agencies; Represent Northwood in discussions with regulators, ministries, and international bodies related to telecommunications and satellite operations; Advocate for regulatory frameworks that enable new space telecommunications infrastructure and services
  • •Market Activation & Partnerships: Build relationships with government stakeholders, regulators, and strategic partners that support market entry and growth; Coordinate internally across engineering, legal, policy, and business teams to align regulatory strategies with technical capabilities and product roadmaps; Drive Market Access certifications & business establishment to enable global deployment of Northwood’s ground stations; Support activation of newly licensed markets by ensuring operational and commercial readiness
  • •Cross-Functional Execution: Act as the internal project manager for market entry initiatives, tracking licensing timelines, dependencies, and approvals; Translate complex regulatory environments into clear operational plans for engineering and leadership teams
  • •Basic Qualifications & Travel: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in international relations, business, government affairs, or a related field; 5+ years of experience in market access, regulatory affairs, business development, or government relations in telecommunications, satellite, or technology sectors; Experience coordinating and owning cross-functional projects involving regulatory or government stakeholders; Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and project execution skills; Willingness to travel internationally as needed
