Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead on building and scaling production of robotic systems that assemble solar farms in the field
  • •Collaborate with design engineers to ensure systems are manufacturable, cost-effective, and easy to assemble
  • •Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, drawings, and BOMs
  • •Support part qualification, incoming inspection, and supplier quality initiatives
  • •Make it faster and easier to build our robots and accelerate deployment of clean energy

Key Requirements

  • •4-8 years of experience bringing complex electromechanical products from prototype to production, including systems with metal fabrication, rigging, and heavy machinery
  • •Ability to read and create mechanical drawings and manufacturing documentation
  • •Strong written and verbal communication with engineers, suppliers, technicians, and leadership
  • •Based in or able to relocate to the SF Bay Area and able to work 4-5 days per week from the San Leandro HQ
  • •Nice-to-have: degree in a related field, experience with ION manufacturing software, supplier & contract manufacturer qualification, familiarity with DFM/DFA and GD&T
